Challenge

Lothian biotech produce pharmaceutical grade Omega-3 capsules with a difference. Theirs contain the highest concentration of Omega-3 available in the UK, which means better health for us. The Omega-3 fish oils are produced from sustainable fish stocks in the purest UK waters.

Omega-3 is taken by anyone wishing to be healthy, not least Nasa Astronauts, who have recognised that fish oil prevents bone density loss while in space and osteoporosis sufferers on earth.

We were asked to produce the ‘takeOmega3’ brand. It had to challenge the competition ‘clutter’ and set itself apart as the purest, natural, Omega-3 available in the market.

Solution

We developed the name ‘TakeOmega3’. It says it all. Whilst this is a high quality product we wanted to avoid scientific names, more importantly we wanted to make it easy for customers to ask for it. We also used imagery of cool clear water, this provides the visual cues of purity and of the environment from which the fish oil comes.

The identity is modern without being faddish and is at ease with the understated typography used. This also helps when being marketed in other countries in different languages. The overall look and feel of the brand is of a sophisticated health product which is natural, honest and pure.
